If its going to be red, the gold decals for a non-SE black car look great on a red T/A.
Well, its not going back to the original red. Roman Red was the original. This red is a custom paint. Its freakin sexy! Not sure when its going to be painted. My car is getting done for free, but other jobs get in that pays my painter's bills, so its questionable here on out.
I saw a Red TA with the dark blue bird package. It looked nice, but I like the NON SE Gold too.
Hmm... decisions decisions!

First Breakdown! Dangit! (Had a few more choice words after practice when it was tearing up lol)
I left the locker room headin home, and it ran ROUGH. Well, im glad this didn't happen in chattanooga! It ran rough, sputtering gas, and you could smell gas so strong. I pulled over, gas everywhere on the engine and even coming out of the right side exhaust. (I have true duals, not X Crossover) So, the pump is out of the question. I thought carburetor, and I was right. A floater must be stuck. And im spot on (I hope). Carburetor is getting rebuilt tomorrow after football so I can drive to school. I put $20 in the tank to put it on half a tank. 7 miles later when I got home, I was on above the Red area (1/4 tank) Ya'll think I'm right?

Thats a massive internal leak...I'm surprised its running at all. Figure a new set of plugs into the fix as well, the ones in there will be badly fuel fouled.
Get them to check the well plugs are still in position and not leaking when they have the carb apart.

REMEMBER! THIS IS NOT A FINAL OF MY CAR! ITS JUST TEMPORARY!!!
I havent totally restored it, but I had to spruce it up a bit. Me, and my 2 friends ive known since middle school, Patrick and Russell, looked at my car and decided to get poppin on my car.
My car has won "Coolest Car" at Clinton High School this year, and of course, it was a head turner no matter what it looked like.
My friends were tired of riding in it with no carpet, so we went to walmart after an oil change and picked up some carpet to make it look better....
Before:
First Look
After:
We vacuumed out the floorboards and cleaned up the sound deadeners, and laid the other side in. It looks nice now with the back seats in.

The previous month, I was in my first accident. A honda accord vs my trans am. A girl rear ended the tar out of me. My body lunged forward and my chest smacked the steering wheel. I pulled over in an air filter place made for home ac units. Got out and after checking my car, expecting the taillights to be destroyed, the spoiler ruined, bumper caved in etc., I looked and I only had a hairline crack above my bent license plate. The accord needs a new hood, hood latch, and front bumper.
After we got everything sorted out, I went to shoneys and ate LOL

This past weekend, the rust was getting very bad. No bodyman to help me, I had to do something. I havent learned to do bodywork yet and the car wasnt near close to being straight. Me, Patrick, Russell, and My brother started at 12:30 PM sanding as much as we could.
Heres the beginning of the long day:
Six hours in, it is finally ready for a little bit of color:
Heres me during the laydown, Im just giving it my best at it cause I havent done this much
Finally after running out of color, we went and got more, and finished the car, 3 hours later.

HALOS
I installed HALOS where the turn signal lights are for more light. I can see a lot more on the road finally because the normal headlights just aint cutting it anymore. 2 seals have busted so far, so instead of getting more halogens from the auto parts store, I am converting to HIDs onto the car. I'll be able to see perfectly on the road after those are ordered and installed

Im on the hunt for the 1977 Headlight bar but all the local boneyards are not carrying any, and hardly even any 2nd gen trans ams, just 3rd gens.
I am going to go for the interior this weekend as its been raining here a little and will put up more pictures after the dash cap is on and everything is back into order!
I will post up the new color here in just a few!

On a lazy day me and my brother was eating and my aunt and my sister went and saw that "Magic Mike" movie. So with the girls gone, there was finally peace and quiet, but after talking, not for long.
We hammered away at the TA sanding and taping. After that, I took on the painting while my brother was cleaning up the garage. I let it dry overnight and at around 9 the next morning, heres what I came up with!
